About

As the daughter of a diplomat, Alexandra Grosche grew up in several european capitals. The remodeling of her family’s various homes has always been part of her life; and the link between design, culture and climate—pronounced by the variant architecture in these settings—was an early fascination.

After “mathématiques supérieures” at Louis-le-Grand, Paris, which is a prestigious école préparatoire pour grandes écoles, Alexandra Grosche followed her passion by studying architecture at ETH Zurich university.

Since its founding in 2001, Alexandra Grosche Architecture + Design has focused on the design and refurbishment of private residences in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain and the United States. Projects range from focused remodels to new structural developments and the re-imagination of multiple buildings on a property: No challenge is too large or small.

To offer the most comprehensive and creative service, Alexandra Grosche founded 5by5architecture+design in 2013, a network of accomplished friends and colleagues.
